Ski One 50 is located in the heart of National Park, the center of the North Island, New Zealand. Its strategic location is ideal for the pursuit of great adventures.

Ski One 50 Ownership

The land and lodge is owned by Merrijig Developments Limited. The 150 shareholders in Merrijig Developments Ltd are also members of Ski One 50 (hence the name) which leases back the lodge as club premises. The Club is run by a committee elected from some 400 members made up of shareholders and their families.

The lodge is used extensively by members and guests during the ski season which runs from around July 1 to the end of October, during which time custodians are employed to cater breakfast and dinner and generally keep things running smoothly.

The Facilities

The lodge sleeps 35 people in double, group and dormitory-style bunk rooms. Single and double beds are available with mattresses and pillows provided. The bunkrooms are situated on the two upper levels. There are separate men\'s and women\'s bathrooms with toilets, showers and hand basins in each. There are two additional bathrooms downstairs.

Upstairs is the main lounge with an open fireplace and glorious views of the mountains. Downstairs there is a TV room, a spa pool room and a large games room which houses a pool table and a table tennis table.

The kitchen and dining facilities are located on the ground floor. The commercial kitchen has two ovens, gas hob, a microwave oven, double sinks and a sterilizer. It is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery and glassware. A serving counter separates the kitchen from the large dining room.

The lodge is well heated with an oil-fired boiler which provides hot water for the lodge, spa pool and radiator heater in some rooms. There is also a large thermostatically controlled drying room, a laundry and a well equipped workroom.

National Park township has several restaurants and bars, should you decide to treat yourself!
